Our Founder
Karen is the President and Creative Director of BlueWater Business Promotions. A dual citizen of the USA and Canada, Karen started the company in Ontario, Canada in 2005, providing clients with personalized branding services including logo development, graphics, printed marketing materials, promotional items, signs/banners, website design and advertising campaigns.
Karen has worked with several well-known companies and organizations such as VON Canada, NSM LHIN (North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network, DOW Building Solutions, KIA Motors, Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Nutrafarms Inc., Norwex Inc., Hospice Huronia, MPDBA, Curry-Henry Group, Muskoka Seniors, Advanced Foot and Orthotic Clinic and many others.
BlueWater Business Promotions expanded into the USA, with a location in South Florida in 2014. Karen began partnering with Key Commercial Capital in order to help her new clients in the USA obtain the financing they needed to cover the cost of marketing materials required when starting a new business. While working with Key Commercial Capital to help fund her client’s projects, Karen decided to learn more about SBA and other business loans and became a business loan advisor herself. Karen also has a NMLS License.
Karen works with multiple franchisors to help their franchisees get the business loans they need to get started or to expand their already existing business. Karen enjoys being able to assist borrowers secure the funds they need to grow their business.
Once business owners have the funds they need, Karen can then assist with the marketing details necessary for launch or expansion. Whether the job is a simple brochure, a large multi-page catalog, product labels, direct mail post cards, or an ongoing advertising campaign, Karen will work with her clients to help achieve the goals they set for the advancement of their business.

When people ask this question I explain to them how important it was for me to select a business name that was personally inspirational. The business name had to be something I loved as it would become a representation of the pride I take in my work and the source of what enables me to live my life to the fullest. Blue water and life under the sea is what truly inspires me. I love that it is the name of my company.
